Beard Styles For 2022: A Guide To Rocking The Beard

Beard Styles For 2022: A Guide To Rocking The Beard

As we enter the third decade of the twenty-first century, we are witnessing a new facial hair renaissance. Forlorn beard and mustache styles are making a comeback. But, perhaps more crucially, guys are regaining the freedom to dress and appear in ways that make them feel more self-assured.

To put it bluntly, beards aren’t going away in 2022.

So, whether you’re a first-time beard grower or a grizzled beard veteran, we’ve produced a list of a few top beard styles for 2022 to help you pick a beard style that makes you feel great before visiting the nearest barbershop in the area.

Which Beardsman Type Are You?

Beard Styles for Short Beards

Bigger isn’t necessarily better when it comes to beards. A short beard style is sometimes the best option. Some people will tell you that size is important, but we don’t agree. Even if it’s only stubble, grow a beard that makes you feel secure.

For the year 2022, we’ve compiled a list of our best short beard styles.

Stubble Beard

The 5 o’clock shadow, often known as a stubble beard, is the shortest beard available. It’s a timeless classic that’s always highly welcomed. Designer stubble has become a mainstay of men’s grooming due to the likes of David Beckham, Adam Levine, Zac Effron, and many more, and we don’t see it going away anytime soon.

Scruffy Beard

A somewhat longer version of the 5 o’clock shadow is the scruffy beard. It gives your look a little roughness. Scuff is a style that may be worn by anyone, regardless of whether their beard is spotty or thick.

Corporate Beard

The corporate beard is two to three inches long and close-cropped. Many men’s beards are still uneven and disjointed at this length, so the corporate beard demands some thick beard-growing genetics.

The corporate beard, as the name indicates, is something you should be able to wear in any work situation, therefore it’s critical to comb it on a regular basis and keep it clean.

Faded Beard

The faded beard, which is essentially a skin fade for your face, has been gaining popularity over the past several years. It’s a clean style that looks best when your beard is three to six inches long and perfectly aligned like a barber’s.

The Hollywoodian is an excellent choice for guys who struggle to fill in their beards’ cheeks and sideburns, or who just want to add length and character to their jawline.

Beard Styles For Long Beards

When your beard reaches six inches in length, you’ve officially entered long beard, also known as full beard territory. The growth of these lengthy beard styles might take a year or more.

Power Beard

Natural beards, often known as power beards, have a length of four to six inches. At this length, your beard’s personality begins to emerge. Some will be straight, while others will be wavy or curly.

Yeard Beard

A yeard is a beard that has been allowed to grow for the entire year. Beard hair grows half an inch every month, so by the time you reach day 365, you’ll have a full 6 inches. You may conduct some mild pruning along the way to assist shape and maintain the health of your yeard.

For a badass appearance, pair the yeard with a buzz cut or entirely shave your dome.

Tweard Beard

The Tweard is the yeard’s next step up in length. Allow your beard to grow for at least two years without cutting any of it off. When the two years are done, you’ll have a thick 12-inch or foot-long beard.

Terminal Beard

In general, a beard will never grow longer than it is at full growth after six years. You’ve achieved your terminal beard when your beard hairs cease growing. Beard hairs will reach a maximum length of 36 inches for most guys.

Every beard is different; some will grow longer, while others will grow shorter. It’s all down to your ancestors.

Partial Beard Styles

In our perception, if you have hair on your face, you have a beard. It makes no difference if you have a yeard, a goatee, a mustache, or a soul patch. In 2022, these are our favorite partial beard styles.

Chevron Mustache

The chevron mustache is the most classic mustache design. It mimics the top lip’s form, resulting in a natural mustache with an upside-down V shape. We couldn’t discover any proof that this is how it got its name; however, the form is similar to the Chevron Corporation emblem when turned upside down.

Pencil Mustache

The pencil mustache isn’t for everyone, and there are two requirements for it to appear good: dark brown or black hair and fair complexion. Unfortunately, unless you dye your mustache and go to the tanning salons, there isn’t much you can do if you weren’t born with that genetic composition.

In 2022, beards are as popular as they’ve ever been. From stubble to chevron mustaches to Bandholz beards, we present a handful of our favorite beard styles for 2022. Keep growing, as always.
